Cold weather is rapidly approaching. Are you prepared? What does that mean?
Cold weather can play havoc on your automobile if you aren't prepared.
Your tires need to have proper inflation and good tread is necessary for navigating snow covered roads.
Is your battery up to the test of temperatures dropping into the 20's or single digits? Have us test your battery condition and strength. The life expectancy of a battery is 5 yrs. Even if your battery is starting well, a battery with age can be zapped dead quickly with extreme cold.

Is your heat working well? Was your cooling system service to make sure the engine coolant is of proper strength & acidity? Now is the time to have your cooling system serviced if it has not yet been serviced.
Give us a call to make sure you are ready for winter  717-336-6693

We had a car in the shop today with a 5 week old inspection and 1000 miles on the vehicle since the inspection was done. The inspection was done at another shop.
The car was brought to us with a complaint of brake noise and questionable tire wear.
Our tech performed our courtesy inspection and brought to our attention that the brake pads were wll below spec, so far that the metal backing of the brake pad had started to grind the rotor. The tech found this to be the case on both front wheels.

As far as the tires are concerned, the tread was below the tread wear bars and had secondary rubber exposed at spots. Hardly safe for any kind of driving, much less than winter driving which is quickly approaching.

Did these issues develop only after 1000 miles of driving? Highly doubtful.
It is the responsibility of the licensed inspection technician and the repair shop to show & educated the customer as to the condition & safety of the customers vehicle.

If you are looking for a shop that educates the customer and takes pride in keeping our customers vehicle in safe working condition give us a call. 717-336-6693

Overheating can be caused by a problem in the coolant part of the cooling system, but something that gets missed sometimes is the engine oiling system it not only lubricates the engine but also acts as part of the cooling system, so make sure the oil is full and changed at the proper time. The cooling system is under a lot of pressure if you open it when the engine is hot you can get badly burned, please let a professional service center take a look for you. It could be a couple of things. The most common would be a bad starter motor, the click you hear is the solenoid that sends the power to the starter motor, but the motor won’t run. The other thing could be a bad connection at the battery or starter motor itself, your service center can check it for you. Give us a call at 717-336-6693

When we have a customers car in the shop, we do a complete comprehensive digital courtesy inspection on your vehicle. We share the inspection with you via text message or email.
This allows the customer to see what we see via pictures taken by our certified technicians.
We will prioritize immediate needs, future needs and any maintenance needs.
With winter coming it's important to make sure your vehicle is in top running condition.
We will inspect the vehicles brakes, steering & suspension, belts / hoses , fluids, lights etc -- we do this to be transparent to the customer and reassure them that we have the reliability of their vehicles in mind.
